Journal
It was on the the morning of August 12th, 1981 that Sharon Grant & Hanief Plummer received their bundle of joy at Mandeville Public Hospital. After looking into my eyes they decided that my name shall be Christopher Plummer and just like that my adventure through life began. My place of residence was Albion District, Mandeville, Manchester and naturally I was a Jamaican by Nationality. My early childhood education began at St. Paul of The Cross Basic School, it continued at Mount St. Joseph Prep afterwhich I attended Rollignton Town Primary. During these early years it became obvious to all my family members that I had developed what seemed then to be a love for music. My Parents decided that in order to continue my education I would attend Holy Trinity Secondary School, from there I was transfered to Bellefield Comprehensive High School. Based on the level of exposure I received during my school years my hobbies and interest were now pretty obvious. Amongst these were reading, listening to music, surfing the net, watching DVDs, and socializing. Based on my hobbies developed during school it was obvious that my future would include music in one form or another. As the years went by my hobbies expanded and now included networking, doing remixes, editing tracks, partying, having a good time and composing Dancehall, Hip-Hop and Rap beats. My love for music was now a passion and obviously my life long profession. My career developed on the musical side as was expected and now I am a Disc Jockey (DJ), a Remixer, a Composer and a Producer. It is my hope to gain more experience and exposure in these areas as I work towards an even more successful future. I further put my skills to the test in 2006 when my friend Mark "Arab" Chang, and I decided to go into the business together. We decided to form our own Record Label and call it MegaZodiac (MZ) Productionz. It was agreed upon that we would function jointly as producers. As a producer for MZ Productionz I had to rely heavily on all past musical experiences and I found that I had gained invaluable knowledge from functioning as a Disc Jockey alongside my uncle Paul on Zodiac Sound. Selecting on Zodiac Sound professionally on my own since 1994 only helped in enriching my knowledge, experience and exposure all vital attributes that one need to posses in order to function as a successful producer. My major accomplishment includes producing the "Tranquilizer Riddim" which features artistes such as Capleton, Sizzla, Beenie Man, Vybz Kartel, Lady Saw, Amara (also known as) Tamar, Lady Flame, Little Hero, Teflon, Perfect, Viper, Diplomat, Ricky General, Mad Sam and Princess Julianna amongst others. It was in 1999 that I got my first real taste of success when I won 1st Place in a Musical Remix Competition. This was later followed in 2007 with the production of the "Tranquilizer Riddim". In the future I hope to work with more artists both locally and internationally, to work with new talents and to become a well known Disc Jockey in Jamaica and around the world. My motto in life is "only the best is good enough" and I intend to be the best Disc Jockey or the best at whatever aspect of music I decide to persue in the future.
